  2.                            Info-File for ´ALERT 3.6 ´

  4.   An Alert is the red blinking box on the upper side of your screen . If you
  5.   make a mistake this box will appear and shows your error .
  6.   The most of the users or programmers are very unhappy if this box appers .
  7.   Another name for this box was "GURU-MASSAGE" .
  8.  
  9.   ´ALERT 3.6´ produces own Alerts ( GURUs ) ...  In this Alert can be
  10.   7 Lines with 77 ASCII-Codes . You can save the Text of the Alert and you
  11.   can save an executeble File who make the GURU .

  15.   The Program :

  17.       You can start ´ALERT 3.6´ from Workbench with a click
  18.  
  19.       or ...

  21.       Go to the CLI and type ".../alert3.6" . The program will be started .
  22.       A window on the Workbench-Screen will be open . In the window you
  23.       see 7 String-Gadgets for the 7 Lines and 5 other Gadgets . Also you
  24.       have 2 Menus ( Copyright and Special ) .

  26.       The Gadgets :

  28.     Test-Gadget    :  The text for the Guru will be tested ( you see a GURU
  29.                       with you text inside ) ...
  30.  
  31.     Save-Gadget    :  A filerequester ( an info for the filerequester comes
  32.                       later ... ) comes and you must type a file .
  33.                       If you click in the OK-Gadget of the filerequester
  34.                       the text of the GURU will be saved .
  35.  
  36.     Load-Gadget    :  The same as the Save-Gadget but the text will be
  37.                       loaded and not saved .
  38.  
  39.     Program-Gadget :  The same as the Save-Gadget but not for Text .
  40.                       ´ALERT 3.6´ will create an executeble file and
  41.                       save them . You can start this file from Workbench
  42.                       and from the CLI .
  43.     Quit-Gadget    :  The Programm will be quit .
  44.     Lines-Gadget   :  You can type a Number from 1-7 for the Lines .
  45.                       If you type 5 , 5 Lines you can see .

  48.        The Menus :

  50.      In the Copyright-Menu you can the name and adress of the author .

  52.      Special-Menu - Reset : ´ALERT 3.6´will be reset the computer .
  53.                             This reset is a hard reset ( all virus go to
  54.                             hell ) .
  55.      Special-Menu - 60 Hz : This option was made for PAL-Users . If you
  56.                             click this Menu-Point the Screen will go
  57.                             from 50 Hz to 60 Hz .
  58.                             If you mix ´60 Hz´ and ´Reset´ you have a
  59.                             NTSC ( 60 Hz ) - Amiga . A lot of Games
  60.                             ( Xenon II ... ) and Utilities ( DPAINT II ... )
  61.                             or very greatfull .
  62.      Special-Menu - 1 Bitplane : This option will make a Workbench with
  63.                             2 colors ( one bitplane ) .
  64.      Special-Menu - New Alert : The active Guru-Text will be deleted .

  66.            All Menu-points you can also make with a Shortcut ...

  68.    The Filerequester :

  70.          This Filerequester is my Standart-Filerequester .
  71.          In a lot of programms ( from my ) you can see it .

  73.    You can see 5 normal Gadgets ...

  75.          The ´OK´-Gadget : With this Gadget you tell the program that the
  76.          name and the direktory are corect . With the ´DF0:´-Gadget
  77.          the program will bring the direktory from Drive 0 .
  78.          The ´Cancel´-Gadget ( and the Close-Gadget ) tell the program
  79.          that the Name and the direktory are uncorect .
  80.          In the ´Drawer´-Gadget ( Direktory ) you can see the name of the
  81.          directory . If you want you can edit the name ( "ram: ... " ) .
  82.          In the ´File´-Gadget you can see the name of the file .
  83.          You can edit , delete or change the name .

  85.    The Name of the files you can see in the middle of the window . You
  86.    can click with the Mouse in one of the Names .
  87.    If the name was a direktory ( another color ) the program will read
  88.    this direktory .
